AntiVir Premium Suite protects your harddrive from all threats such as Viruses, Worms, Rootkits, Dialers, Trojans and backdoor infiltration on the highest level. This suite includes a firewall, an anti-spam module, a game mode, a backup system as well as child protection. The price is relatively low in comparison to other premium suites. This software suite is relatively popular and widespread for the aforementioned reasons
A free Anti-Virus by Avira is available. However, using just Avira AntiVir Personal Edition leaves you without a lot of protection for your pc with time between updates being relatively high in comparison to the premium version. In comparison to its premium version the personal edition only recognizes only a fraction of Adware and Spyware on your pc.
In addition, the personal edition lacks the web guard and email protection. Without the web guard you could be vulnerable to the biggest threats online. One should always remember that free versions are often just simple lures. If you want comprehensive protection for your computer you are better off spending the money.
The user interface is a success and relatively easy to navigate. Another point in its favor is that AntiVir uses low system resources. It is, therefore, suitable for novice.
