McAfee Total Protection offers good virus and Spyware recognition which is comparable to other Anti-Virus software. Behavioral analysis could use some improvements, though, as well as its Web Exploits recognition. For this reason rating McAfee is not exactly on the positive side.

In addition to McAfee Total Protection security features it also secures your home network from outside intrusion.

Summary:

In comparison with McAfee Internet Security Suite, there are really not many additional features offered in McAfee Total Protection. Making price an issue, one would be better off using their Internet Security Suite if one absolutely has to have McAfee. There are better alternatives.
