Avira AntiVir Premium
Avira AntiVir Premium offers harddrives a high level of protection from viruses, Worms, Rootkits, Dialers, Trojans and Backdoor threats. In comparison to other Anti-Virus software Avira AntiVir Premiun lacks behavioral threats recognition. For this reason, rating this software is less positive. Maybe improvements are planned for future development to compete with other Anti-Virus software.
A free Anti-Virus version of this favorite software is available. However, in the free version you have to put up with much less security and waiting time for new virus database updates is quite high. In comparison to the Avira AntiVir Premium Version the Personal Edition only recognizes a fraction of the Adware and Spyware on your computer. One always has to remember that free versions are often only enticements to purchase premium version. If you want optimum protection it will cost you money.
The user interface is not only easy to use but also preserves resources. It is therefore recommended for beginners.
